Animal agriculture industries are finding cunning new ways to block animal protection laws like the banning of tiny cages and body mutilations. One of their key strategies is trying to block new animal protection laws by amending existing “Right to Farm” laws in all 50 U.S. states.

This is exactly what is happening right now in West Virginia with the introduction of Senate Joint Resolution 3. This newly proposed Right to Farm law amendment would “forever guarantee traditional and modern farming practices.” These mild words hide harsh farming abuses including extreme confinement of animals in dirty warehouses for their entire lives, and cruel live body mutilations such as debeaking and castration without pain relief. We must speak up for animals and stop this sly amendment from passing!
