Urgent: Ban the Use of Wild Animals for Entertainment in Los Angeles!

LA City Residents! Your Phone Calls are Needed TODAY!

It is increasingly acknowledged that the use of wild animals in entertainment is unnecessarily cruel and dangerous to the animals and the public. Los Angeles Councilmember David Ryu has introduced a motion to ban the use of wild and exotic animals for entertainment and amusement, including circuses, wild or exotic animal shows, and rentals for private events, and your calls of support are urgently needed!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 25, the LA City Council will be voting on Councilman Ryu’s motion.

PLEASE CALL YOUR DISTRICT’S COUNCILMEMBER TODAY AND URGE SUPPORT FOR THIS IMPORTANT ORDINANCE!

Councilmember David Ryu states that, “Wild and exotic animals have a long history of being exploited for public and private entertainment. Treating animals in this manner has taught generations of people that it is okay to view wild and exotic animals as toys. Los Angeles must take action to make clear that exhibiting animals in this way is no longer in line with our City’s values.”
