Beautiful, Wild Beluga Whales

Beautiful, Wild Beluga Whales

In Defense of Animals uses the golden rule to keep wild animals in the wild based on what we see in nature and what science tells us about their lives lived in freedom. Compare this to their barren lives in sterile tanks.

In the wild, beluga whales can dive to over a thousand feet, seasonally gather with several hundreds of others of their kind, and socialize with those whom they choose. The waters are filled with a symphony of beluga voices.

Compare that to the small tanks in which the Georgia Aquarium, Shedd Aquarium, Marineland Canada, and others condemn them to live. The only traveling the trapped whales and dolphins do is in when they are forcibly packed into a freight airplane when they are taken from one tank and thrust into another to live among others they did not choose. This is captivity for public display and entertainment and why we oppose it.

Please don’t support the capture of dolphins and whales from the wild – and perpetuate their suffering in captivity – by visiting public display facilities. So, enjoy this video and please support our work.
