Your urgent help as a California resident is needed. A looming bill introduction deadline of February 21, 2020 is fast approaching, and we must take this opportunity to further protections for California’s horses and burros, where slaughter is an all too frequent outcome! Two “unbacked” bills need legislator champions/authors and we need YOU to send the message to your California state assembly member and state senator.

Wild horses and burros in California continue to be sold to slaughter where they meet a terrifying and horrific death. These two proposed bills will enhance their legal status, thereby enabling advanced protections. Let’s have California lead the way for the rest of the country in showing how we value wild horses and burros.
